Many Gulls seek refuge here on the Estuary during the winter months. Curlew numbers begin to peak during the coldest months up to January, which also includes the migrants passing through.
Look out for Oyster catcher, Heron, Greater Canada Geese, Little White Egret, Heron, Kingfishers, Cormorant, Dunlin, Sanderling, Redshank, Ringed Plover, Common Gull, Black Backed Gull, Blackheaded Gull.
Blackcap, Goldcrest, Starling, Willow Warbler, Robin, Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Longtailed Tit, Goldfinch, Wren, Blackbird, House Sparrow, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Magpie, Rook, Sparrowhawk, Peregrine, Buzzard, Grey Wagtail, Rock Pipit, Greenfinch, Song Thrush, Barn Owl and Tawny Owl.
